Tonto Falls
Given the outstanding features on Tonto Creek, this little cascade on Forest Service 289 just below the state fish hatchery is a yawn.
Horton Creek
A series of really pretty little falls about 1.5 mi from the confluence with Tonto Creek. But their height is only a couple of feet, not enough to produce pools at the bottom.
Fossil Creek (below Irving)
A couple of drive-up spots along Forest Service 502 between the Irving Power Plant and the Child’s Power Plant. Possibly worth visiting if you have small children unable to make the hike into the springs. Otherwise too crowded.
Water Wheel
Wade spot in the water next to a campground.  'Nother yawn.
Box Canyon
Too many Yahoos. Here’s an idea for an environmental art project. Collect the shards of broken bottles at Box Canyon and arrange them into a large mosaic that reads “No Glass Containers.” Install it at the trailhead.
Workman Creek Falls
Water splatters on bare rock. Loads of people, too.
Sheep’s Crossing
East Verde ford where four-wheel drive enthusiasts gather to display their shiny vehicles.
