Moss Glen Falls
In the Putnam State Forest near Stowe, VT.  An 80-foot cascade, but the pool at the bottom was insignificant.

Jeff Falls
Just south of Jeffersonville, VT in the Brewster River, right beside State Route 108.  Given the number of better places available, this one is a pass.

Preston Brook
Very pretty, small gorge on the Long Trail. Several pools and good vertical.  However, the best pool will likely be no more than chest deep.

Huntington Gorge
Bozo factor is off the charts.  Really heavily visited because the rock sculpting and diving is exquisite, but the location along a road, coupled with the number and quality of visitors make this a "why bother" spot.

Warren Falls
Major rock sculpting.  The pool at the bottom is a good 12 feet deep pool and colorful, but that doesn’t tell the whole story.  Tests for fecal coliforms do. Way too many idiots.

A clothing optional spot in the Mad River less than three miles north of Warren, VT.  Little more than a big sand beach on a wide, flat river.

The Mill River has a too popular spot near Clarendon, VT. Great water features, but dozens of people in a summer day.

The Mill River has another spot, this one 2.5 miles upstream from US 7 on the Appalachian Trail below East Clarendon. Good stop if you're through hiking the AT.

Button Fall
Mettawee River in west-central Vermont.  One of the prettiest falls I've seen, but thousands of dairy cattle upstream.
